#Y2Kasnic branding
The best part of planning my wedding was the branding, hands down. First came the wedding website. Then came the fun part: the invitations!
Incorporating my favorite colors with vintage maps of Chicago and pretty typefaces using thick cardstock paper stamped with ink, rounding the corners, and sewing the binding—that was my process while hand making each of the 100 Y2Kasnic Wedding Guidebooks.
The 16-page guidebooks set the perfect tone of excitement and affection we wanted our friends and family in Washington, Kentucky, and elsewhere to feel while preparing to travel for our destination wedding weekend.

Vintage Chicago Maps + Rounded Corners
Sewn Binding
Each guidebook was sewn with ivory thread on my sewing machine.
Stitching style varies across all 100 guidebooks due to whatever mood I was in that day.
Hand Stamped Envelopes
Handmade Envelope Liners
The envelope liners were designed and printed—then traced, cut and glued in to add Chicago flare & protection in the mail.
Print Edition Markings
Each guest received a "#/100" marking on the first page of their guidebook—letting them know each book was hand made one by one in a limited quantity.

Chicago Skyline Sketch
The Chicago skyline is used as an exciting hand drawn visual with the formal invitation.
Our Favorite Spots on the Map
We mapped out our favorite Chicago restaurants, bars, ice cream shops, tourist attractions and architecture for our guests to have on-hand while traveling to Chicago. Many of our friends had never been to the city before so we were excited to share our recommendations visually.
Y2K Lapel Pin Wedding Favors
To keep our wedding branding alive at our wedding, I designed gold enamel pins for our favors. The pin reflects Y2Kasnic's Chicago destination wedding theme—the illustration includes several Chicago landmarks and our wedding date in the Y2K colors.
